Construction works are in full swing for desulphurization unit (FGD) at the TPP of Kohlta-Jarve city, Estonia

UAB „Ekobana” has embarked on construction works for project „Turnkey construction of desulphurization unit (FGD) at TPP of Kohtla-Jarve city, Estonia (Customer – VKG Energia OU)“.  The new FGD unit will use semi-dry cleaning method, which will allow to reduce emmision of harmful acids to the atmosphere by up to 20 times to the level in accordance with the new, strict European Union directives. UAB „Ekobana“ plans to carry-out installation and construction works of FGD plant (capacity of the unit is 280000 m3/h) in record time – 7,5 months from the start of construction.

UAB Ekobana has supplied Weir Minerals slurry pumps for project‘s „Increasing the productivity of the company by modernizing production process and improving product quality and economic characteristics“ implemented by AB „Dolomitas“ (project is financed by the EU structural assistance co-finance and by project contractor‘s – AB „Dolomitas“ funds) dolomite break stone production line.

Intensive works at Ignalina nuclear power plant are underway

From 1st of September, 2015 UAB "Ekobana" acts as the general contractor of the project "INPP Solid radioactive waste disposal facility, code B2”, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of current year. The project is financed by means of the Ignalina International Decommissioning Support Fund (IIDSF) administered by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

After the construction works will be finished and the commissioning of solid radioactive waste disposal facility will start, the new solid radioactive waste management and storage system will be established in INPP, which corresponds to all the latest laws of the Republic of Lithuania, the European Union standards and the IAEA recommendations.
